Everyone can help support the global food supply one vegetable at a time.
More than anything, we want everyone in the world to have access to healthy, nutrient-rich food. We're committed to finding ways to use the resources of our planet creatively and wisely so that we all have enough. And we're gonna have fun doing it!
The Backstory
In 2013, Alan Smith built a large, stationary, vertical vegetable garden. Although pleased with the results of his garden, he was completely unprepared for other peoples' reactions. They loved it! But they didn't have the space or time to invest in an advanced system. This inspired Alan to develop an easy-to-use, mobile Vertical Victory Garden that operates on hydroponic technology in a space as small as 3.4 square feet. As the California drought intensified, Alan's commitment to water-recycling technology became a driving force behind the garden. Alan took sustainable technology development a step further when he released the Solar Garden, which eliminated the need for an electrical outlet. |
Feeding the World
Alan's concern with water conservation soon led him to understand just how limited the resources we depend on for our food supply are in this age. Imagining a world where all people have access to nutritious food only further fuels his desire to recycle water and conserve land. This venture is now an investment in people all around the globe!

Urban Farming for Schools
Aloha Urban Farming Company is dedicated to giving back to the community. Our mission is to help people achieve greater self-sufficiency by teaching them how simple and economical it is to feed themselves and their families in a healthy, environmentally responsible way.
When a Southern California resident learned that her former high school was establishing a sustainable farm, she donated two of our hydroponic food gardening systems which use up to 90% less water than traditional growing methods by recycling water. The Vertical Victory Garden can grow 24 edible plants in only 3.4 square feet. The second system she donated recycles water through solar power. We provided the installation of the garden systems and hydroponic training. We plan to support their food gardening program, and we pledged a donation to the program. This effort launched our School Garden Program.
Our vision is that parents and teachers will nurture children to grow their dinner while saving water and building self-esteem. We invite you to support your local schools and become involved in our School Garden Program.

The Future of Food
The Aloha Vertical Victory Garden made an appearance at the Southern California Spring Garden Show in 2014. Consistent feedback was, "This is the future."
We are further inspired by the 2014 National Geographic series, "The New Food Revolution." They discuss how food shortages pose one of the biggest threats to our civilization and environment. They highlight that agriculture accounts for 70% of all water consumption, and that by 2050 we will have another two billion people on the planet to feed. It is clear that we need to shift the way we think about growing our food. Aloha Urban Farming Co. is offering a path into that shift with a garden system that uses up to 90% less water to grow food than conventional growing methods.
